The Art of Digital Organization: Stacking Your Ideas
Forget folders and tags. Learn the "Stacking" philosophy that makes SnackStack unique and how it mimics the way your brain naturally associates information.
Most note apps force you into a rigid structure of folders and subfolders. But our brains don't work like a file system; they work through associations and connections. That's why we created Stacking.
What is a Stack?
A "Stack" in SnackStack is more than just a folder. It's a dynamic collection of related ideas. You can nest stacks infinitely, but more importantly, you can link them fluidly.
The PARA Method with SnackStack
We recommend adapting the PARA method (Projects, Areas, Resources, Archives) using Stacks:
Projects: Create a stack for each active project. Keep them at the top level for quick access.
Areas: Broad categories like "Health," "Finances," or "Learning." These stacks hold ongoing information.
Resources: Stacks of reference materials, templates, and assets you might need later.
Archives: When a project is done, move its stack here. Out of sight, but never lost.
Visualizing Your Knowledge
By stacking notes, you create a visual map of your knowledge. You can see at a glance where your focus is going and where you might have gaps. It turns your database of notes into a navigable landscape of ideas.`
